Val Thoren is Europes Highest Ski/Snowboard Resort at 2300 meters and if you are looking for guaranteed snow from November to May then it is difficult to beat Val Thoren. There are still some bad lift queues. Because of Guaranteed snow some of Val Thorens pistes are very crowded with dangerous intersections. Consider Val Thorens if you main objective is to Ski as there is not much to do off the slopes. Parts of the village are less nice to walk through at night than at the day.
