Why holidays in the azores?
The Azores is quiet and unspoilt, and ideal for peaceful holiday. Good weather coupled with the islands rich volcanic soil, carpets the azores with wild flowers in the springtime and makes it a great place for walks and bird watching.
Most beaches are of the black volcanic sand but there's a golden strech on sao miguel.
Loads of Whales and dolphins in the azores
The other main attraction is that you are more likely to see whales in the Azores than anywhere else on the earth. The water around the islands are the home to pods of huge sperm whales, northern bottlenose whales, pilot whales, Orcas and Sowerby's beaked whales.
You are almost guaranteed to see them on a half-day whale spotting tour, which cost around Euro 50. Dolphins are fairly common here, too.
